What to Wear to a Fall Wedding?
Ahh, the age-old question: What to wear to a fall wedding? This is the question for anyone attending nuptials this autumn. And unless you are part of the bridal party, figuring out the appropriate outfit can be tough, especially as we transition from summer to fall. Guidelines are usually set in place—black-tie optional, formal, dressy casual. But who really knows how to decipher these cryptic dictations, or how chilly (or warm) the day will be?
Rule of thumb: Never outshine the bride and never wear full-on white. It is her day, not yours, so it is best to let her get all the "oohs" and "aahs." But this also does not mean that you have to wear a potato sack. Looking polished is key to dressing for a wedding. A wedding is an important, formal affair so leave the flip-flops at home. Metallic accessories and rich textures like lace are ways to incorporate fall trends in your wedding attire.
The fall weather makes it easier to dress for proper occasions, as you don’t have to be too concerned with how much skin you are showing. But if you still are unsure about what "dressy casual" actually means, we've got you covered with outfits that will keep everyone happy.
