Nancy O’Dell Tells Us Why She's Obsessed With Making Scrapbook Albums
“I have literally been making albums since I was a child. It’s something I learned from my mother and grandmother,” says celebrity mom Nancy O’Dell. “They both created beautiful scrapbooks and showed me how important it is to have special memories you can hand down from generation to generation. It’s a tradition I now continue with my children.”
In an age of shoving boxes of photos in a closet (if you even get around to printing them in the first place), scrapbook albums are a great way to preserve memories to pass down to our kids, telling them stories in a visual way they can preserve forever. Plus, no gift can be more thoughtful and special than a scrapbook made with love.
“I know first-hand how important albums are to kids,” says O’Dell. “When I look at albums my mother made, I feel like I was the most loved child in the world. I want my children to have that same feeling, that same sense of family connection.”
From weddings to birthdays to first days of school and family vacations, you can tell just about any story through scrapbooks. With all the resources online, filled with great tips, ideas, and supplies to get started…here’s to a new hobby to fill the cold days ahead!
