Mom Beauty: A Closer Look at Rodial

With product names like Boob Job, GlamTox, and Brazilian Tan, Rodial is not your average beauty brand. We spoke to founder Maria Hatzistefanis about how moms everywhere can benefit from a little “Tummy Tuck” in their lives

It was during her time as a beauty writer at Seventeen that Maria Hatzistefanis determined what the skincase market was missing: a line that served as an alternative to cosmetic surgery. “I created Rodial to give women the results they craved without the price tag,” says Hatzistefanis. Now the London-based entrepreneur counts Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, and Gwyneth Paltrow as fans. What makes Rodial different from other beauty brands on the market?

We offer targeted treatments to specific skin concerns, combining the latest technological advances with natural ingredients so our products are gentle on the skin while producing fantastic results. Our new Dragon’s Blood range is a great example of this, as all products contain the powerful “dragon’s blood” ingredient with plumping and firming effects.

Which products do you think are the best for moms?

I would definitely recommend Stretch Mx, as it’s great for smoothing stretch marks & reducing the appearance of scarring post-pregnancy. Also, Dragon’s Blood Eye Gel is perfect for reducing puffiness around the eyes after too many sleepless nights!

Tell us about your slimming products.

How has being a mom affected your beauty routine?

As time is limited, I use lots of multi-purpose products that are quick to apply. They offer a number of benefits—shortcuts to looking good! 

What does your five-minute face routine entail?

I cleanse with Glamtox Cleansers, tone with Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic and moisturize with Glamtox Day SPF15. I also use the five-minute facial peel and the Glamoxy Snake Mask once a week for a deep exfoliation. I apply Brazilian Tan Face twice a week for a natural sun-kissed glow.

What’s your parenting philosophy? 

I am there to support my boys whenever they need me but at the same time encourage them to become independent and follow their interests. I am a very easy going mum—tough when needed but I also go with the flow.
