Designer Discounts

Target is known for its collaborations with bold face names. The retail empire practically revolutionized the concept of the discount department store by offering high-end designer labels at lower price points. Bright coats from Isaac Mizrahi, Missoni throw pillows, Rodarte dresses—pieces that are usually seen as luxury items are given a mass market makeover. And now that the holidays are fast approaching, Target, Neiman Marcus, and some members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America joined forces to offer consumers coveted brand-name items that wont do damage to your purse strings.
The organizations made a commitment to fostering American talent and partnered with 24 designers for this limited holiday collection. Names like Tory Burch, Alice + Olivia, and Eddie Borgo created a range of items such as bicycles, dog bowls, and compacts. This also marks the first time that many of the designers are creating apparel for children. The adorable dresses from Marchesa and Jason Wu, sweaters and from Rag & Bone and Proenza Schouler, and even a skateboard from Derek Lam will be nice additions to the presents under the Christmas tree. — Barry Samaha
