REBECCA MINKOFF

OCCUPATION: Fashion designer: Rebecca Minkoff

MY STYLE: My style is classic with a twist. I usually pair simple tops with great blazers, skinny jeans in colors and prints—and always fun shoes and bags. Home style is modern boho.

I LOVE NEW YORK BECAUSE: I love the energy. You never feel alone, and there is art everwhere you look. Something is always happening, and you are part of it. So many fun activities make it great for kids from the parks, to bike rides, to the great programs the libraries have. Luca is never bored.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

“The Met” is not only the country’s largest museum, but also the most encyclopedic, as its collection covers everything from Ancient Greek sculpture to contemporary installation work. Michelle Smith recommends tackling the massive museum( which has over two million square feet) in smaller sections. “During fall and winter months, I’m here with my kids every weekend,” she says. “Even if it’s just for an hour!”
