This family-run restaurant in the Kensington nabe has been known for its comfortable and friendly atmosphere and delicious Middle Eastern fare for over a decade. The staff is always warm and friendly, the wine and tea section are wonderful, and the takeout counter at the front makes it an easy spot to stop for takeout. The candlelit tables in the very back make it a great spot for a nicer dinner and date night, too. Elizabeth Street Mom Eliza Koziell loves the restaurant’s many vegetarian options.
This relaxing café is located inside the Chelsea Physic Garden, London’s second oldest botanical garden. The food is “quite simply top restaurant food at café prices,” says Elizabeth Street Mom Eliza Koziell. And everyone else agrees—lunch doesn’t get much better than it does at this place. The seasonal menu sources only the freshest ingredients and draws on a mix of cuisines.
Elizabeth Street Mom Eliza Koziell is “addicted” to this “fabulous, nearly-new second-hand store.” Sign of the Times resells all designer labels—think everything from Chanel to Hermès to Prada—at a fraction of the original cost. The owners are great about keeping the turnover fast and styles current, and the store is set on two floors. In other words, passing hours upon hours shopping here is all too easy.
Tireless and attentive renovations of its historic grandeur mixed with modern state-of-the-art technology makes this grand Mayfair hotel one of the most elegant and adored in London. Its location on Mount Street, one of London’s prettiest shopping streets, beautiful mirrored ballroom and all round muted elegance make it Zoe de Givenchy’s all time favourite.
With a collection spanning over 2,000 years and including various media from bookbinding to fine art painting, the V&A is, undeniably, one of the best museums in the world. We especially love its collection and exhibitions of contemporary design.
