ASHLEY FAUSET

OCCUPATION: Managing Director at Move LifeStyle; blogger at Silver Lake Mom.

MY STYLE: Chic and minimalist. I gravitate to clean, classic lines that are sophisticated but not fussy.

I LOVE LA BECAUSE: There are spectacular restaurants and incredible museums. I love the architecture and history, the grit and the glamour. It's an exciting place for children, with its richly diverse population and culture. There is endless art, music and more to amuse and inspire them. Parks, farms, beaches, mountains and the desert are all just a short drive away.

Lamill

Turquoise snakeskin banquets, toile wallpaper, a cup of coffee, and some jelly donuts on a marble coffee bar make LaMill a fun and quirky spot to enjoy a bite to eat (especially their homemade potato chips). Open on weekends only, stop into LaMill’s retail space where you can pick up a bag of house-roasted coffee or splurge on a $6,500 La Marzocco espresso machine.

LACMA’s Arts for the NexGen project is the only free youth membership program of its kind in the U.S. and features art classes and camps for kids of all ages. In addition, during museum hours, kids can visit the Boone Gallery to learn about brush painting and Korean art.

Over 3,000 seats look out onto the stage over four tiers. The incredible decor, chandeliers, and staircases make the performances all the more magical.

Zuma Beach

This gorgeous Malibu beach has an extra special perk for moms: it's protected by the Lifeguard unit of the LA fire department. The incredible waves make it a hot spot for many surf competitions, and a large parking lot makes it less of a hassle than other Los Angeles beaches.
