Cherry Pie Shake Recipe

I basically bought everything from Trader Joe’s with cherries in it: frozen cherries, cherry juice, cherry yogurt, cherry soy ice cream, and chocolate covered cherries. I challenge you to find anything else!

Happy (Belated) Birthday, George Washington!

Healthy Recipe: Cherry Pie Shake

To celebrate George Washington’s birthday, make a healthy version of his favorite dessert.

February 22 was George Washington’s birthday. And what better way to celebrate than with his favorite treat—cherry pie? I was tempted to make recipe in his honor, but I’ve been eating enough treats lately. It all started with a few Mardi Gras King Cupcakes, followed by a box of Vosges Chocolates (enter to win a box here) on Valentine’s Day. This week I’m getting back on track! (I swear.) While this recipe is far from calorie-free, it can be enjoyed at breakfast without too much guilt. Plus it’s way easier than baking a pie. Just add everything into a blender and serve. It’s so good we think even George Washington would approve. —Sharon Beesley
