Healthy Homemade Pop-Tarts
A wholesome breakfast in a familiar form
Pop-Tarts and other toastable pastries are a fun and easy breakfast for kids. Unfortunately, they also pack a lot of sugar and preservatives, which makes them a less-than-perfect start to a wholesome day. Luckily, a healthier version can be made quickly at home! We whipped up these pop-tart-esque hand pies so quickly, we couldn't believe it—they're as easy as whole wheat pie dough and your choice of a low-sugar filling.
