Besty Burnham’s decorating tips for your child’s first “big kid” room

When a new baby comes along, it often also means moving your toddler or adolescent child out of the nursery and into the room they will grow into. Los Angeles-based interior designer Betsy Burnham goes about planning with clear goals in mind. “I always create a space that’s lively enough to make them happy now, but sophisticated enough to grow with them,” she says.
