Bundts and Baubles
Cora Bischofberger Sheibani shares a recipe that inspired her jewelry collection
Cora Bischofberger Sheibani likes making things, which can include pieces of fine jewelry or a delicious dessert. Sometimes, as is the case with her rings inspired by her many copper bundt cake molds, the two collide. We sat down with the London mom in her Cotswolds country home to chat about her business and how to talk to children about work. Click through to the second video to see her make a gorgeous marbled gugelhopf cake—and edible one, not a ring—with her daughter. Here's what you'll need to do the same:
-3 cups (320g) plain white flour
-3 cups (320g) white sugar
-3 sticks (160g) unsalted butter (soft)
-7 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla essence
-1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1.5 ounces (40g) dark chocolate
-2 tablespoons powdered sugar
-large metal gugelhopf or bundt cake mold (8-10 inch/21-24 centimeter diameter)
-alternatively use a loaf pan
