Elizabeth Street Austin Texas

Elizabeth Street Elsewhere: Austin, TX

We’re everywhere! Discover Elizabeth Street in the South Congress district of Austin, Texas

As we continue our series of discovering Elizabeth Streets across the globe, we find ourselves in the hip and vibrant SoCo district of Austin. What was once a seedy part of town has now transformed into a creative destination for locals and tourists. Amazing art, food, and hotels make this an Elizabeth Street you won’t want to miss.

EAT: Elizabeth Street Café. Of course, we had to recommend it. Not just for its cool name (ha), but the food is delicious and features a kids menu to boot! Go with the warm baguette with Plugrá butter and homemade spreads!

SLEEP: Hotel Saint Cecilia. Whether you choose to stay in a suite, poolside bungalow, or a private studio, you won’t be disappointed. And don’t be surprised if you find yourself suddenly writing a song—just thank Saint Cecilia, the hotel’s namesake and the patron saint of music and poetry.

PLAY: Little Stacy Park. Close to Elizabeth Street is an outdoor play space that isn’t quiteso little. Kids will enjoy playing in the wading pool, running around the playground, or having a picnic under a tree along Blunn Creek. Take a stroll or bike ride down the park until you reach Big Stacy Pool to splash the day away. —Sharon Beesley
