In Their Room with Andrea Stanford

Andrea Stanford’s Mediterranean-style home in Beverly Hills is a charming mix of old and new—a testament to her passion for vintage, and her position as vice president of merchandising for designer and vintage sales at One Kings Lane, a premier online destination for home décor.
It’s no surprise to us that this mother of three was eager to help her eldest daughter, 10-year-old Ryan, design her first solo room. Even less of a surprise is how stylish it turned out. Elizabeth Street took a peek at Ryan’s sophisticated space. —Laura Carroll

Ryan put her design ideas into collages, and designer Wendy Hayworth helped bring them to life.

Andrea encouraged Ryan to integrate vintage pieces into her décor. The two thought this lamp was just the thing.

Glass West Elm boxes showcase Ryan’s collections, which include tokens from family trips to Lake Tahoe, Santa Barbara and Hawaii.

The Anthropologie bed, the room’s most expensive piece, is covered in Katie Leede & Company fabrics that Ryan won’t grow out of.

Not everything in a child’s room must be made for a child, Andrea says. This pillow, by The Rug Company, is a prime example.

The Stanford family Basque doll and a souvenir from Mexico make up a small part of Ryan’s doll collection.
