Thanksgiving With Me

Itʼs Thanksgiving, and a little girl waits by the windowsill for her uncles to visit. She begs for stories about growing up in “the house by the sea,” so her mother recalls each brother in quirky, endearing rhyme. Mother and daughter anticipate the rollicking feast, full of delicious food and loud music, as the uncles ride through the pastoral American landscape in a horse-drawn cart. The old-fashioned drawings match the nostalgic tone of the words. This is a lovely choice for a holiday that is truly just about family, food and making memories.
